Liveblogging - Thursday, August 9th, 2007

-:60 - Gettin' things set up for tonight's live show. Can't wait to see who's really going home! Feel free to jump into chat over there before and during tonight's show if you'd like. :)

:00 - Show starting. Previously on....

:03 - How nice to of you to join us too Julie! Quite dashing in her red, white, and black outfit. Day 41. Rumors and accusations have been flying. Daniele's real plan was to backdoor Eric and followed through on her plan. Minutes from now, the HGs will vote live. America, your player is at risk tonight. But first...We've seen arguments in the house before but nothing like this.

:04 - Footage of POV ceremony. Meeting is over. Eric says in DR that naturally nobody wants to sit in that seat and that being up against Kail is better than being up against others. Kail in DR says that she feels her chances against Eric are very slim. She felt better being nominated with Jen. Dani in DR says she wants Eric to be evicted this week and there's evidence he's been playing both sides. Dick says in DR they only need one more vote to get Eric out of the house.

:05 - Eric tells Amber in BY that he doesn't want to roll over on anybody. Amber promises on her little girl's life. Shows pre-game footage of Amber and her little girl hugging.

:06 - Dick and Kail and Jen in BY and he tells them he has a problem trusting them. Jen brings up them teaming up to get rid of Eric. Dick says if this happens, she (Jen) owes him one.

:07 - Dick talking to Amber in Gym. Dick in DR says that he has something going on that will knock Eric down like a bowling pin. Dick tells Amber that Eric's said something to him about something Eric's said about having something in his back pocket towards Amber. BB shows footage of a week ago in BY of Eric talking about it. Dick tells Amber it's something that was really awful but that he didn't tell him and he would keep it to himself.

:08 - Footage from 2 weeks ago of Amber telling Eric about the 'secret' in the pool. Dick tells Amber in the gym that he's never lied to her and kept secrets from her. Dick wants to seal the deal and wants Eric gone. Dick leaves and Amber says "Oh my God".

:09 - Amber and Dustin talking in the bathroom. She's telling him about what Dick said. Dustin says Eric's not going to be a threat to us. Amber says that now that she knows all of this, how dare him dude.

:09 - Dick, Dani, and Amber in BY. They're telling Amber that Eric's betrayed her. How Eric's telling everybody about how he has a secret he has over Amber. Amber wants Eric gone now. Dani says this whole week is for Nick and wants to right the wrong. Amber says that he's gone whether it's because of her vote or hers and Dustin's. Dick says he'll not go after Dustin for one week if he'll vote to evict Eric. Dick tells Amber that God will understand if Amber breaks her promise and votes to evict Eric.

:11 - Amber and Dustin bathroom. Telling him about Dick's offer of a one week deal with him. Dustin doesn't like the way Dick plays the game and wants Dick out of the house more than Eric. Amber pushing for Dustin to vote Eric out. Dustin tells Amber that she's "so a psycho right now". He tells her to listen to him and calm down and think with her head in the game. She says that for the first time in the game, she feels her head is in the game. He says he'll vote to get rid of Eric and tells her to keep her vote the same.

:12 - Amber going off on Eric right now in living room in front of everybody (the footage in the YouTube I put up a couple of posts ago - I can't type THAT fast). Everybody's just sitting and not saying anything while she goes off.

:15 - Coming up, Julie tells us that Evel Dick seems to revel in being the rudest crudest houseguest but we're going to talk to his friends to find out how he acts outside of the house. We'll also find out live who is leaving the BB house. Commercial.

:18 - Welcome back to Big Brother 8. Time to go live to the living room. Hello houseguests and house bunnies. Yesterday was tense in the house and you all witnessed an emotional confrontation. Jameka says it was stressful but that she knows it feels good sometimes to express their feelings and that they came back together and everything's fine. Julie asks Jameka about if she'd give up standing out of the next 5 HOH's again. Jameka says she probably wouldn't and looks forward to playing hard in the next veto competitions. JC asks Jen about giving up half the prize winnings. Jen says she's not there for the money and is there for the competition and experience. JC tells them they have something new this week - questions from the viewers. From Mia in Jersey City to Dustin - why do you wear the same gray t-shirt day in and day out? Katy in Wichita asks if he owns any other shirts. The others are laughing!!!! He says he's a consistent person and feels it shows a lot about him. That's it for the questions.

:21 - ED has been dropping names left and right of celebrities but do they really know who he is? Sunset Blvd footage. Dizzy Reed (Guns N Roses) says he knows ED. Guitar player from LA Guns says he knows him. Dilana from Rockstar Supernova says Dick's a great guy. Lead singer of some band says he's a great guy. His friend Julian says he's known Dick for 15 years and that he's as loyal as a friend can get. He says Dick is a sweetheart of a guy. Footage of people saying they love Dick.

:23 - JC talks to Daniele in HOH room. Asks her about her father saying that he loves him but brings up that she only said she loved him after the HOH competition. Dani doesn't even remember saying that. It's a very slow process and just because you're stuck in the house isn't going to change the past. Says things are better. JC asks her about the things he's said to the other houseguests. She says her dad's a different person than she is and the worst thing is that people are afraid of her dad and people don't want to stand up to him and so they take things out on her. It sucks but she gets over it. JC asks Daniele if she's 100% sure that Eric was the one that cast the other votes. Daniele says she's not 100% sure but she does feel that Eric's the biggest threat in the house and is making the right decision.

:25 - Interview with Kail's husband coming up. Will America's Player leave the house tonight? Commercial.

:28 - JC welcomes us back. Kail has withheld the truth about her personal life. What do those closest to her feel about her strategy and how Dick's been behaving towards her? Kail in DR says they own 4 businesses and she didn't want to tell anybody about it. Darin (Kail's husband) says that her strategy is a smart concept for her because if she gives her cards away they'll say she doesn't deserve to be there and will send her packing. Darin says she's playing a game and they have no idea who she really is and won't find out who she really is until after the game. Footage of Dick going off on Kail. Darin doesn't like Dick's behavior but understands it's part of his strategy. Kail in DR says she misses her husband so bad. Darin says she's downplaying her moral beliefs and probably wants to talk to Jameka about her beliefs. He says if Kail can get past this week she has a chance at going much further in the game. Right now, they think she's weak but if they keep her in for much longer they'll be in trouble.

:31 - Returning to the living room. In just a few moments they'll cast their votes to evict. Kail (in her bunny suit) says that it never gets easier. Thanks them for keeping her here the first two weeks and asks for another week. Eric says that he came here on day 1 thinking he was going to meet 13 strangers who are standing in his way of winning and that notion didn't last long once he had the chance to meet them. Said he's had some rought times this week but that they got him through it. Hopes he can stay and continue to build those bonds and work on bonds that need to repair.

:32 - Live voting begins. Dick happily votes to evict that weasel Eric. Jen votes to evict Eric. Jessica votes to evict Kail. Rest of the houseguests vote live when we return. Commercial.

:37 - Live voting continues. Zach (in bunny outfit and formal black jacket) votes to evict Eric. Jameka votes to evict Kail. Dustin votes to evict Kail. Vote is tied. Amber is deciding vote. Amber votes to evict Kail. Kail will be evicted.

:38 - JC says by a vote of 4 to 3, Eric you are safe. Kail, you've been evicted. Dick looks ticked and Daniele is shocked. Dick walks off and mutters 'Liars' under his breath. Kail hugs everybody and tells them not to worry about it. She hugs Daniele and Daniele says, "sorry". Kail and Jen hug. Kail walks out.

:40 - Kail walks out of the Big Brother house in her bunny suit. She meets Julie Chen. Back to the inside of the house where Dick is questioning Dustin on his vote. He tells Dick he didn't do it because they had a deal. Dick says the vote wasn't him. The mystery vote again right? *teehee*

:41 - Kail says what went wrong was the first week. She had to repair but it was too little too late. She says that Dick's way of playing the game isn't just strategy because you can only be somebody for so long. She's watching her goodbye messages. Dick says if she's seeing this that something went really really wrong. Dustin says "listen up bitch, it's time to step out into the real world" and that he knows her preconceived notions of homosexuals and hopes he turned it around for her". Jen hopes to see her out there when she comes to visit and shopping on Melrose. Jameka says her first alliance was her first mistake and will miss her. Daniele says it was nice to talk to Kail this week and getting to know her. Daniele says sorry she didn't stick to her word and apologizes. Kail on The Morning Show tomorrow morning.

:43 - Coming up...the HOH competition. Old Wild West setup in the BY complete with a deer head and the words 'BB Bar' around it over a set of saloon doors. Jameka sitting at a table. Commercial.

:47 - Time for the live HOH competition. HGs, the power is up for grabs. Tonight's competition is called 'Let's Make a Duel'. They're going to face up in pairs and answer questions over what they've said in the diary room regarding evicted houseguests. None of the questions will give away any secrets. You must answer the question. Answer correctly you get to stay in the game and you choose the next two houseguests who will face off. Answer incorrectly and you will be eliminated. If noone buzzes in, you will both be eliminated unless you're the final two. Last person standing is the HOH.

:48 - Daniele selects Dustin and Eric to face over first. Eric answers correct and Dustin is out. Eric picks Dick and Zach to face off. Zach is wrong and is eliminated. Dick picks the next two. He picks Eric and Jessica. Julie Chen gave the answer (Nick) by calling on Eric and they re-do the question. Jessica answers Kail and Eric is eliminated. Jessica picks Jen and Dick to compete. Dick answers incorrectly and Jen picks the next two to face off. It's down to Jessica and Amber for her to pick from. Amber answers incorrectly and Jessica and Jen are in the finals.

:51 - Jessica answers correctly and is the new HOH! She hugs Eric and Jameka and they're going crazy. Jameka yells out "Boo-yah!" Dustin picks up Jessica and hugs her. Dustin looks like he's going to cry and he's super excited. Commercial.

:55 - Julie welcomes us back. Eric survived this eviction. Who do we want out of the house. We have to choose who we want nominated and he has to get Jessica to nominate that person. Vote here!

:56 - Who will Jessica nominate for eviction? Find out Sunday. Tuesday is the POV show. She leaves us as we eavesdrop on the houseguests.

:56 - Jameka asking Dick if she broke her word? Seems like Jameka's been called out as the one who cast the questioning vote. Dustin tells Dick not to tell him what to do ever again. Dick tells him to shut up. Eric tells everybody he wants to be picked for Houseguests Choice in the POV competition. Jameka follows Dick and says she's never lied in the game ever. Dick says she has. When she played in the competition. Show ends with Dick and Jameka arguing.

Well folks. What are your thoughts on tonight's show? Between the HOH competition blunder by the Chenbot, Kail being evicted, and Jessica winning HOH it was quite a show. How do you think things are going to go? Who will Jessica nominate? I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this! tongue.gif

Hi Hamsterdame!

Just wanted to say hi and thank you for your terrific blog!

Posted by: Meg at August 9, 2007 04:28 PM

Tonight is gonna be good! HamsterDame you are absolutely the BEST to do this live-blogging. And I really love this forum you give us fellow BB fans.

I can't wait to see who wins HOH, if I were Jameka I would hate not being able to play. If Eric stays is he gonna go for the HOH? A bit risky for him not knowing who America would want him to nominate. If Kail stays, she can't participate in HOH. I understand wanting to win the POV but slop for thirty days and no HOH, no way would I do that. And I def would not give up $250,000.00 of possible winnings!

I wonder if BB gonna kick out Amber for getting them in trouble with the Anti-Defamation League, insteresting.
I CAN'T WAIT!!

Hamster Dame...I don't normally leave comments, but I just wanted to write and thank you for doing such a wonderful job on your Big Brother Blog! :) I read it everyday, if not multiple times a day...especially when I'm at work and can't look at the live feeds! :) Keep up the great work...it is much appreciated!!! :)

Michelle H., Pittsburgh, PA

From HD - Thank you Michelle! Your comment is much appreciated. ;)

What a liar Dustin is. lol. Right in front of everyone. "I voted Eric out. We had a deal". Guess there are 2 weasels in BBHouse. hehehe

Posted by: Lauren4fun at August 9, 2007 05:46 PM

I couldn't wait until the show aired out here in San Diego to see if Eric made it or not. Thanks for the live-blogging, HD. You didn't make me wait a minute longer than I needed to! Whew. Eric dodged a HUGE bullet this week . . . here's hoping whoever wins HOH puts up Dick and Amber.

Posted by: Coleen with one "l" at August 9, 2007 05:50 PM

Here comes the HOH comp. They get Beer? This comp looks interesting. Beer and shots? Julie just gave the answer! Ha ha Dick is eliminated. Ooh Jessica and Jen. Yea!!!! It's my girl Jessica!!! WHOOHOO JUSTICE IS SERVED!

Posted by: bbfanindallas at August 9, 2007 05:52 PM

Very glad one of them won. Will be so glad to see ED out of the house. Amber may cry to much, but ED has just made himself and this game look bad.

Posted by: Cathie at August 9, 2007 05:55 PM

Thanks for liveblogging HD! You rock! This IS the best BB site online fer sure.

From HD - Awwww. You're gonna make me blush.

Posted by: BJ at August 9, 2007 06:00 PM

I'M SO EXCITED ... & I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!!! Dick needs to GOOOOO! YAY for Jessica! I was soooo nervous that they would have changed their minds again.

Posted by: rachel at August 9, 2007 06:01 PM

Yipppeeee. I want the feeds on!!!
Appears that Jameka is going to be the target of Dick's wrath this week.

Finally, some excitement that will be interesting.

HD Let me add my thanks with the others for providing this forum!!

Applause, applause, applause for you HD

Posted by: michele at August 9, 2007 06:02 PM

OMG i cant believe Jessica won HOH!!!!i meand i love jessica but that's bad for my two favorite players dick and daniele..im hoping america's player eric, has to influence her to put up dustin or jameka...i hope daniele and dick are in the final two!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: brooke at August 9, 2007 06:03 PM

the absolute worst possible scenerio for this game, its obvious the will put up d or d or zach or jen, in any case one of them will be leaving and the final 5 will be the most boring in bb history-- jameka dustin amber eric and whoever...im so upset that i might stop watching it......thanks for letting me vent Hamster

Posted by: sam at August 9, 2007 06:03 PM

Thanks for this great site HD!!! I so enjoy it!

I'm sure Jessica will be putting up D & D. I can't believe they changed their minds that fast! Now, if only the live feeds would come back up; I could watch!! Thanks again!!

Posted by: Beth at August 9, 2007 06:06 PM

I think Dustin went into the wrong business - he should've been a used car salesman. He is just so comfortable lying that it is just SCARRRYYYY!!!!!!!

In the words of your favorite HG Amber, HamsterDame - I CAN'T WITH HIM...I JUST CAN'T!!!! :-p

Posted by: TeamJessica at August 9, 2007 06:06 PM

I have to say, I enjoyed this show alot. So glad Jessica got it. I would really like to see Amber go, but I think Dick needs to go first and I think that would be an easier task for Eric to complete. I am very sad that Eric told Dick what he did about Amber. I didnt see that in the feeds. It wasnt that she had an abortion like everyone was blogging about...she tricked her b/f that she was pregnant. Very disapointed in Eric for blabbing that. Just wasnt necessary in the game. Looking forward to the next week.

Posted by: Deb at August 9, 2007 06:08 PM

I'm sooooo excited!!! Tonight was an exciting show that couldn't have ended better!!! I hope Jess can get ED out!!

Posted by: Melinda at August 9, 2007 06:09 PM

I hope it's Dustin or Amber - they are just way too sure of themselves and trash talk as bad as anyone, they just doing behind people's back instead of to their face like Dick. I am voting for Eric to try to get Dustin nominated. It would be awesome to watch him push for someone he is likes especially to Jessica who likes and seems to trust Dustin. Dustin disappointed me this week greatly with all his "skanky whore" comments about Danielle and then acting like he was on her side to her face. He needs to go!!!!!! Dick needs to filter what he says but he isn't two-faced.

Posted by: Traci at August 9, 2007 06:09 PM

This is just perfect. Put up Dick and Daniele and one of them has to go. If Danielle wins POV she will save herself. If Dick wins POV he will save Danielle probably. Either way it should split them up and get Dick the loud mouth out!!!

Thanks to HD for this blog. It is the best place to find out what is really going on.

Posted by: Susie at August 9, 2007 06:09 PM

This sucks, the whole thing is rigged. I don't understand how anyone who watches the live feed could be happy that mega weasel Eric is still around.

I've wasted my life....

Posted by: House Of Odd at August 9, 2007 06:10 PM

Playing both sides. If D&D think that anyone who "plays both sides" should go then aren't they the ones that should go???

Posted by: renee at August 9, 2007 06:10 PM

OH YEA! Not because I like Eric, just love a plan spoiled! Never make a plan based on emotion D & D! Loved the HOH comp! I think all FIVE will feel Dick's rath, maybe the DR can give out ear plugs!!!!! I thank you too HD, Best BB site out there!!!!!

Posted by: Pam at August 9, 2007 06:12 PM

It was awesome to watch Dick immediately go into attack mode after the HOH comp. You gotta give him credit for trying to deflect the target off he and Daniele and onto someone else and with no time to spare.

I must say I absolutely loved Dustin lying about his vote -- he didn't miss a beat. Now Daniele will be whining about who the other vote was.

I wonder if Jessica has the guts to put up Dick and Daniele. Time will tell.

Loved the show tonight. Re Chenbot's mistake -- sigh. Great to be married to the boss.

Posted by: CanFan at August 9, 2007 06:15 PM

Hi HD :)

Who do you think Eric should try to sell Jess on for eviction? What would be a good move for him?

From HD - I think I'm going to vote Daniele. All ten times. :)

Posted by: Ericfan at August 9, 2007 06:16 PM

Sad commentary on behalf of the show. Eric staying is pathetic, CBS pressuring the Whamber to convince the nerdiest herd to keep him makes me believe this game is beyond rigged. Watching the beady little AP and you knew the pr*ck was going to throw it!!! And Jessica winning was a joke!!! Makes you wonder what else is a friggin' SETUP!!!! Just cancelled my live feed. I hope that either Jen or Zach wins!!!!

Posted by: Madison at August 9, 2007 06:17 PM

I honestly don't like any of these people. With the exception of little ole Zack. They are all soooooooooooooooooo freakin annoying. Dustin honestly makes me want to vomit. He's such a lying dog and the way he is as a person is absolutely repulsive. And the rest of the LNC...DUMB cowardly little nerds. Don't they realize that they'll have to turn on eachother eventually. So stupid. Dicks a bully, Danielle is to whiney, and Jen...well she's actualy growning on me. But that could change next week. These people have me changing my opinions about them from week to week because they are all over the place with their behaviors in the house. This season is driving me NUTS!

Posted by: April at August 9, 2007 06:19 PM

Woohoo! How awesome! My favorite player won HoH. :o) It seems she may be in one of the best HoH situations. Let's see, if she does put up Dick and Daniel and one of them come off the block, she can put up Jen, Zach or now wild card Amber. The voters will still be Eric, Dustin and Jameka. This means in the event of a tie Jessica gets to decide who goes home! :o)

I can see myself and other bloggers will have to agree to disagree because Dick's moments on the feeds are either boring or annoying to me!

Yeah Jess! (I am starting to really enjoy Jess and Dustin's time together)

Jennifer

Posted by: jenniferinflorida at August 9, 2007 06:22 PM

I loved the show!! Thought it was hilarious how many times they showed that Amber promised on her daughter's life, and then went to video of Amber hugging her daughter. Very nice, producers, I think that is their way of showing their disapproval of Amber, don't you? I mean I don't always pick up the subtleties of the editing but that was just blatant, wasn't it?

I also think that Jessica was supposed to win, when Daniele was kicked out of HOH room today so they could get it ready, Dustin said, they need to get your room ready Jessica! LOL And of course Jessica was gonna know the answer to that final question, I was saying the answer out loud with her, he he.

Posted by: bbfanindallas at August 9, 2007 06:23 PM

Just want to add my 'THANKS' to all the others HD. You rock.

I might just watch again.

Posted by: Mizzkm at August 9, 2007 06:25 PM

Boo-yah for Jess, good for her. Hopefully America Player votes start reflecting what will help Eric instead of hurting him (unfortuneatly I don't think they will)

Posted by: GregL at August 9, 2007 06:26 PM

I cannot root for anyone this season because they are all too annoying. The worst for me are the liars - Eric, Dustin, and Amber. I hate the fact that any of these people actually believe that God has nothing else to do but worry about a bunch of idiots trapped in a house. How completely delusional...

Posted by: Camille at August 9, 2007 06:38 PM

HD - I wanted to put my two cents in also and commend you on your blogs. I am just as addicted to your posts as I am to the live feeds. I must say though that I am upset that Jess won HOH! I am a D & D fan. I like Zach and Jen also. Sometimes I think Dick goes too far but it still brings good drama to the show. He doesn't lie like that weasel Dustin or Eric. I do like Jess, I just wish that she would stay away from Eric. Whamber is so two faced. I hope America votes for Amber to get nominated.

Posted by: dejaval143 at August 9, 2007 06:40 PM

Can't believe Dustin.. And then he says right after that Dick and Him had a deal and that he didn't vote for Kail.. what a moron.. there were 3 votes.. hmm who could they be?? booo this show is going to get boring with dick leaving.

Posted by: Big D at August 9, 2007 06:45 PM

i am just as mad as dick is its so retarded that eric is still in that house not that i liked kail at all cause i didnt but eric is a peice of crap and i am also mad that CBS obviously set up the whole idk who cast the wrong vote thing that was obviously a set up they prob called dustin in the DR and gave him something to vote kail out and then plant the seed in dicks head that the weird vote happen 3 weeks in a row to get the spotlight off of eric what a load of crap i am soo pissed off.....but tonight is deff an all nighter just like last week

Posted by: John at August 9, 2007 06:49 PM

Just like people forget that this is a game about lying, cheating and back-stabbing, people also forget that this is CBS' show and CBS makes the rules. CBS didn't do the voting and isn't telling the contestants that they should vote the way CBS wants or risk being kicked off the show or not paid. It seems that they are only pointing out the obvious - - that doing D&D's bidding was not the most strategic choice for the remaining LNC-5.

If it makes better TV - - then I'm all for it. Tonight's eviction was the best this season, for sure, and perhaps the best in any season, so far. That Dick FINALLY didn't get what he wanted (and whiny Danielle, as well) is just pudding on top.

That we get to vote, at a minimum, on the final round through Eric, is also a sweet by-product of tonight's eviction of Kail - - whatever your personal thoughts about Eric may be. Remember - - if Eric was voted out tonight, so, too, was our "voice," for whatever it's worth.

I'm voting 5 for Dick and 5 for Danielle even though if I had my druthers, I'd prefer to put all 10 into Amber. Problem - - Jessica and the LNC-5 are NOT going to turn on Amber until D&D are gone. So - - we're shooting a hole in Eric's foot to vote for anyone but D&D, Jen or Zach. In a perfect world, D&D go up and whoever wins POV lets the nominations stand.

To Deb and anyone else who thinks that Eric is the meanie with respect to the "reveal" of Amber's "secret," - let's look at the facts (to quote Dick).

1. She lied to her boyfriend not once, but twice, convincing him that she was (1) pregnant and then (2) had an abortion.

2. This was a lie and a manipulation in order that she might gain some "power" over her boyfriend - whatever that power might have been.

3. That this "reveals" something about Amber's character is a given.

4. AMBER REVEALED THIS TO ERIC ON LIVE 24/7 TV. WHEN SHE DID SO, SHE ALSO REVEALED IT TO THE BOYFRIEND SHE LIED TO, HER FAMILY AND HER CHILD. AMBER DID THIS ALL ON HER OWN.

5. Eric did NOT reveal it to the remaining houseguests - - only Jessica, I believe. To others he might have mentioned knowing something bad about Amber, but he didn't say what that was.

6. DICK through his game-playing, forced the reveal. A reveal that NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF AMBER HADN'T SAID ANYTHING.

7. WHY WOULD YOU TELL A PERFECT STRANGER, SOMEONE WHO IS COMPETING WITH YOU FOR A HALF A MILLION DOLLARS, SOMEONE YOU HAVEN'T EVEN KNOWN FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH, ON LIVE TV, IN FRONT OF THE WORLD A PERSONAL SECRET THAT YOU DON'T WANT REVEALED?

No - the person who bears all the blame for the reveal of this SECRET is AMBER, herself. If she didn't want anyone to know about it, she shouldn't have said anything. Taking it backwards a few steps even further - - if she's that embarassed about it - - well, then, maybe she never should have "faked" the pregnancy and lied about an abortion TWICE to her boyfriend.

What is even more ironic and oxymoronic, is that Amber thinks that lying to her boyfriend twice about being pregnant and having an abortion is apparently not something that reflects upon one's character negatively while in the same breath she thinks that she can make assumptions about the character of entire groups of people based on the state in which they live (New York) or the religion which they follow (Judaism), based on a sampling of 5 "New York Jews" with whom she has had any contact with in her sheltered, warped, and psychotic existence.

Posted by: Coleen with one "l" at August 9, 2007 06:49 PM

I would love to see Dustin go next...because of his direct lie to both Amber and the house. Personally, I would like to see E.D. and Danielle in the game for the long run. E.D.'s constant confrontations with those in the house make things interesting and are no worse than Amber's constant tears or Jen's antics. I agree that Jessica will most likely put up E.D., Danielle, Jen, or Zac.

Thanks a million for your info on the blog...I read it all the time.

Posted by: Wendy at August 9, 2007 06:52 PM

I'm happy that Jessica won! Who she puts up should be very interesting. ED & D? How about ED & Wamber (since she attacked Eric)? And if you paid attention to the feeds and then again aired on tonight's show. Eric didn't tell ED anything... only that he knew that she had done something very bad to her boyfriend that would ruin her credibility in the BB house. He didn't tell ED specifically what it was. So......... Wamber's rant was all about if you know something tell it now. SHE IS THE ONE THAT TOLD! cookoo for cocoa puffs is that girl!!

And I laughed and "woohoo"ed so loud and hard when Dustin voted to keep Eric. OMG!!!! But he had to do that to calm Wamber down that day. And then never missed a beat when ED questioned it. Mystery vote again??? hmmmm.... and it wasn't Eric... he was on the block..... har har he he Oh how I loved it!!!

Posted by: coach mac at August 9, 2007 06:53 PM

I'm using all of my votes for Dirty Dustin. He is an obnoxious diva queen. I think it would be awesome if Eric the Weasel had to tell Jessica that he thinks Dirty Dustin should go home. Wouldn't that throw her after she foolishly kept him this week... Naughty stupid houseguests.

i really dont like this season..i see happening dick, danielle, and jen going, they are the most interesting people in the house and should be the final three...now julie chen ruined it for everyone..if i was eric i would want a replay of HOH, if jess, dustin, jameka, eric and zach are left in the house there would be no more drama, drama makes the show, it would be like a replay of bb6, when april and the rest of the nerd herd were left and it was just boooooring...come on people we need drama............

Posted by: jennvs72 at August 9, 2007 06:58 PM

ooooohhhh and i forgot whammmmmber gosh do we have to get her out of the house noooooooooooowwww!

Dustin again shows his Mind Control skills and that he is battling Roddy for the most vile character in Big Brother history. Dustin's comment to Kail in his goodbye video was disgusting.

Joe was right. Dustin is trash as a human being.

From HD - Extra kudos to you for a Roddy tie-in!

I am so tired of Dani sitting there crying like a big baby, you know that if she would have gotten her wish and Eric would have left then she would be smiling and having her head held high, but now that she lost and her and her dad are the next on the chopping block her whole world is ending and she just wants to go home.

Listen you big baby dry your fake tears and put on your big girl panties because you did this to yourself. You started and now that it didn't go your way you have to live with the results of backfire. I really hope Dick goes home, I am so tired of him bully everyone, mabye that is why his own daughter quit talking to him.

Posted by: Tanya at August 9, 2007 07:06 PM

Wow, for anyone to think "America" has a say in this is naive to say the least. How interesting that things changed so quickly after the DR sessions??? CBS is out to always maximize the bottom line$$$$$$ No Eric, No Text $$$$ and don't think the millions of texts they get at almost a buck a pop....

Well if Dick goes, it will become boring and prdictable like any other season...ho hum

Interesting to see if the Eric lead pack can stand the egos of his and Dustin or will it implode? You will see Eric and Dustin get even more sinister and mean this week and Zameeka even was showing herself - I wonder if she will stay "Christian" in her convictions or if it only applies to those she likes or is in with...

Posted by: David at August 9, 2007 07:13 PM

hmmmm I wonder who's going up this week. Dick and Daneile. That's a shocker. I really like Jess but she is the worst at this game because she just treats it like a summer long slumber party. She has NO strategy. Well I guess she has to play the game now. It only took her 40 days. I was sooooo pissed when Jen didn't win. I hope she's safe this week.

Posted by: Roz at August 9, 2007 07:19 PM

I just want to say that CBS doesn't make any text money off of me... www.cbs.com works just fine and it's free in case some of you are wasting your hard earned money.

From HD - Here here JC! That's why I include the link so that everybody can cast their votes easily and for free online.

Posted by: JC at August 9, 2007 07:22 PM

Ok...wtf?!?

Dustin is a King alright, the King of LIARS!!! *kicks him*

Jessica winning HOH wouldn't be so bad if she didn't have Eric right there salivating at the chance to suggest nominations to her. He might as well of won HOH!

I still don't like Amber but I hope she doesn't realign herself with Eric and/or Dustin. It'll totally suck if she does.

I'm gonna be some pissed if either Daniele or Dick go home next week. I have no doubt they'll end up being nominated on Sunday, but hopefully the Veto will keep them safe. Or at least one of them. *crosses fingers*

The only parts of the show I enjoyed was seeing Kail FINALLY go home and Eric accidentally getting screwed out of the HOH competition by the Chenbot. lmao

The America's Choice thing? My ten votes are going to that rat bastard (sorry if that's not allowed!) Dustin! Grr. >.

Posted by: doodysmama at August 9, 2007 07:25 PM

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JAMEKA! I'm looking forward to seeing ED try to intimidate her like he's done the rest.

Posted by: GeekyDiorGirl at August 9, 2007 07:34 PM

Amber...I agree with you HD about Amber. I really just can't even explain my feelings. And, she has lied in the BB house. Now, at least twice, because she lied to Nick and then lied about lying! :) Anyhow... enough said for Whamber.

Jen... wasn't sure about her at first, other than a bit of self-centeredness. She's grown on me some every week!! I'm pulling for her, in a way.

Nick... Loved. I just wished he wouldn't have pushed himself so much on Dani. She's cute and taken, and that's the sign of STAY AWAY!! He was cute enough to work on anyone that was "single".

Dani and Dick... too much of the pushy personality, do it their way or they will peck brains out for an entire week (or two or three). Cursing is really beyond control. Anger Management is prescribed.

Zach... just too quite. I do like him. He hasn't done anything exciting. . . . . yet!! :)

Jameka... seems like a really nice person. She hasn't been too vocal just yet... well, until Dick just started picking at her. I'm wondering if she is in the right type of reality show.

Dustin... I flip flop with him. I just can't make up my mind. Sometimes I like his "boldness" and other times, I think, "What the heck was he thinking?"

Jessica... The first week... I didn't really like her because I thought she may have continued the "war" with Carol. Well, even if she did, I have warmed up to her.

ERIC.... PEOPLE, he is not really a creepy weasel or whatever it is he keeps getting referenced to. He's playing a game. He wants to do what he is told because for every five tasks completed, he wins an extra $10K. HELLO???, you all would be doing the exact same things. Trying to play the game with the HGs and play the game for America. He's not having conversations with "America" to discuss strategy. He has to figure out how to do things on his own for "America". He can't tell anyone in the BB house. Let's lay off of him for a while. I think he seems to be a nice fellow... unlike ED.

THANKS HD! I read you everyday at work!! Keeps me caught up! You are the best!!!!!!

Posted by: Ariel90 at August 9, 2007 07:50 PM

I'm sorry but I find most of you whacky. You missed everything. After Eric was nominated and even before the LNC mach 2 - D & D made pack to keep Eric. They lied this week, no duh, to Dick! This was a brilliant plan executed brilliantly. Dick was so high on his ego that he could do anything that he didn't see what was right in front of himself. He got pwned big time tonight and I say BOOYA.

For those of you who don't think Jess has game I saw just watch. She knows way more than you think, she is very subtle about things but if you've been watching her close she is a great player. She is pleasant and nice and gets along with everyone and therefore can group with anyone and will easily be in the top five if not the top two.

Jessica is the bomb, BOOYA!

year after year i get more and more disappointed w/ this show !!!! bb doesnt want outside influences to affect the game...only THEIR OWN influences in the DRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! ive watched season after season from the 1 st yr of bb and i think this may b my last!!! utterly disgusting that they choose to give some of these jerks(eric, amber, dustin the pig) an advantage in the game by swaying them in the dr!! i happened to see a snippet of amber whispering to the other bible thumping moron( who by the way ...soooo doesnt practice what she preaches!!!!)... that a top guy of bb talked to her in dr. imagine ..what message is the twit going to walk away with other than what they and this bigwig of BB WANT FROM HER???? ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dustin, eric should b ummmmm ...well, some thing really nasty, as well as the lot of the jerks!!!! i can only hope things miraculously turn around for the real "good people",d and d and jen n zach!! peace people

They are such scum along with Amber and Jameka. It is not much wonder Jameka prays so much. She is such a mmmm mmmm mmmmm liar. She is trying to make her lies right

Madison you lie! you know we dont believe you cancelled the live feeds after watching the best show yet this season. LOL.You Dustin haters need to lay off my boy, he is playing the best game of anyone in that house and doing it with class. He schemes and manipulates lies and controls his NH with style.HEE HEE. Not a dull moment when hes around.Loved his stray vote comment to ED. Love that they will stand up to ED and dish back to him some of his own medicine finally! this will be the best week yet this season.Better turn those feeds back on! you might miss something.

LOVE YOUR BLOG HD!!!
THANK YOU

dick needs to go... he does the same things that he calls others out on... i used to like his ways..but above all i hate to see when the players get to that point where they definitely know what is going to happen... and dick has reached that point... i think the nominations should be dick and jen... that would be perfect!

Posted by: rodjratx at August 9, 2007 08:36 PM

I REALLY wish DANIELE would go this week -- mainly because DICK would go NUTS!!! Of course, that may be too abusive for the remaining HG's, but it would also seal Dick's fate. GO JEN or JESSICA!!!

Posted by: Carla at August 9, 2007 08:45 PM

just saw dick explaining to Amber about a "just God", does anyone else notice how the zealots are also the most mean spirited, i.e. Jameeka calling Danielle "dirt" just like her dad, and Amber and her "Jew" comments. now we have Dick doling out the relegious counsel... so much for Faith... oh well, I won't judge... One last thing Dick, and Hollywood are so yesterday.. Austin, Tx is the real Live Music Capital.. welcome to now... see ya Dick

Posted by: rodjratx at August 9, 2007 08:50 PM

I have to add my kudos to you, HD, for all of your hard work on this blog. You are the greatest!

Regardless of how I feel about the people in the house, I love it when a plan comes crashing down on somebody's head. That's why tonight was so great. Just a countdown to the implosion.

I was an ED fan, and still don't really have anything against the guy, but his act is really getting old. It's always the same thing.

Danielle was so nausiating last week with her whining for "poor Nick" (waaah, it's just soooo frustrating!!!!). Please...you voted him out for god's sake.

I seem to change my mind each week, but I'm now rooting for Jen and Jess (at least for the next couple weeks until they start annoying me).

Everyone hates Dustin so much because he....lies? I thought lying to the other HG faces is a part of this game. Isn't it?

Coleen with one l, you summed the Amber situation up so nicely. You go girl!

Posted by: RB at August 9, 2007 09:10 PM

I'm wondering WHY they didn't show Kail about Eric being America's Player..They showed it to everyone else...is it because he was on the block with her? THat's the only plausible reason that I could think of at all...do they normally record a goodbye message from the other person on the block? I can't recall

Posted by: PlayboyMommy at August 9, 2007 09:12 PM

LOL, rodjratx! Yeah Austin! I'm a proud TEXAS EXE and think Austin ROCKS in the music realm for sure!

I don't have the live feeds, so don't know much about Jameeka, but Amber and her rant on the Jewish community was WAAAAYYYY over the line and I hope she goes out SOON....but not before the infamous Donatos. I think they found out tonight that they DON'T rule the Big Brother nest entirely. Gee, the others CAN think for themselves!!

Posted by: Carla at August 9, 2007 09:25 PM

yikes!!!! the nerd herd rules the house!!! boo hoo!!! i really think the game would have been more interesting if eric would have gone home...lines were drawn in the sand this week... it would have been 4 to 4 (dustin, amber, jameka, jessica) against (kail, KD, D, zach)....now we get more of arrogant, cocky eric...i wish america would vote that eric has to suggest putting up dustin...but it seems as though there are alot of eric lovers which i don't understand...is it because he's AP? AP means our player, not his player...is it because everyone loves a geeky master manipulator--face it he's not dr delicious and never will be...is it because he got the short end of the stick by CBS creating the AP idea...oh well enough ranting...i'm disappointed

Posted by: deb at August 9, 2007 09:35 PM

Gosh it was so hard to wait the additional hours since I am on the west coast.

A big theme of the week had to do with numbers and happy to see that in the end those on the fence realized how important numbers are to the game. Kail is a number but unfortunately she was in a similiar boat as Jameka with the H.O.H. comps and hard to tell if Jameka and Dustin had enough influence to get her over to their side.
I was really disappointed they really didn't push Evel's talk of how no one should feel safe in this house when he was trying to sway Dustin and Amber with his one week deal.

On a personal note the Cat Club scene was kind of fun for the fact I knew some of the people in the crowd and such because I have worked off and on in radio and web design specificly with bands and have to go down south for business meetings from time to time. Like seeing DJ Will from KNAC.com who actually has talked some of BB and Evel on his radio show and some others I noticed in the crowd I have seen/met (Side note never have met Dick and probably because I frequent the Whisky and Rainbow when I am down there) on my infrequent Hollywood club hopping when I am down their for business. That is what originally drew me to ED from week one as my favorite since he was the most familiar to me until I got tired of his badgering and Jessica became my new one.

So I am happy Jessica is H.O.H. but I am scared that Eric is going to be asked to try and get Amber nominated. Hopefully if he is put to such a task he thinks of a strategy along the lines of trying to keep people outside their alliance on their toes since it really would be shocking with plans to get her off in the end and backdoor someone else in. The voting this week will be an even number so Jessica would have the tie breaker vote. This is the scenario I would use if Dustin, Jameka, or Amber wins the poll which for some reason I think one of them will receive the votes.
Speak of America's Player I am guessing in the end he didn't even attampt the last task which sounded like Dick did indeed get the votes since he made mention to Dustin before the big BY meeting that the next day he had planned as a joke to kiss up to Dick.

Anyway, I need to get my America's Choice votes in, catch up on the happenings, and start watching the feeds.
Gosh this is fun having this forum to talk about BB wish I had found it sooner.

Posted by: wump_scut at August 9, 2007 09:43 PM

:)
Dustin ruled tonight. I loved his comment about the vote. What a truly inspired move. How better to drive Dick insane. If Dustin's not lying then Zach or Jen must be. Jameka and Amber are open about who they voted for and no one even asked Jessica. So I say bravo Dustin! Who cares if Dick thinks its a lie. He can't be sure and that is gonna kill him. Ahh some good old goose sauce for an old gander - what could be better?

Jessica - go girl. She's been a dark horse from the start. One of the 3 brought on by the show (all of whom have lasted to the jury rounds - interesting huh). She has remained upbeat through out. Often quiet and off to the side as the cameras zoom in on what they want us to watch. Oh for the power to choose what camera I wanted to see. I don't expect to see any major stir up in her noms this week. I'm betting Jen and Zach - but I'm hoping to see Dick.

Eric - America's Player, you are given a task to get someone on the block. This is a task you can choose to ignore if you wish. Unlike who he votes on. He doesn't get to choose that one. I'm glad he didn't go home this week for 2 reasons. 1 - I was tired of seeing Kail on the block sliding by. 2 - I really wanted to see Dick taken down a peg. You don't rule the house "dog".

Sadly I can feel the summer is more than half over now. How can I tell you ask? Every year at this time people start talking about canceling the feeds because things aren't going the way they want them too. Sorry folks, BB is a TV show. Sure it's "reality TV" but everyone knows that the reality part is still influenced by the TV part. However, there is no way that people can be "in character" 24/7 so we do get to see some real things transpire. And we do get to watch people trapped together interact while trying to get rid of the competition. If they aren't in this game with a thought about the prize then they have no place in the game. Why berate them for lying, cheating or scheaming to get to the end?

I look forward to the rest of the week. But I am surprised, where is our dble eviction?

v

Quick question from a first time poster: I'm watching the After Dark show and Zack is talking about ED needing to make a "Marcaleus (SP?) $5,000 Move" Can somebody please explain what Mar. did? Bribe people or what?

Posted by: ErinInTx at August 9, 2007 10:09 PM

Whoa! I just clicked on the link for Nick's Myspace page, and his background picture is Daniele! And in his pictures, he has a pic of him with his mohawk and leaning into Daniele and they are touching foreheads.

Interesting....time to go snoop some more ;-) I tried going to Amber's page but it's set to private.

Posted by: Stephie at August 9, 2007 10:10 PM

I don't like this America's player thing. If we're only supposed to help Eric, even if we don't like him, how is that a choice? I think that a good twist for CBS would be to put another player into the competition, letting the new player be another America's player. Then CBS could tell Eric that he can now vote for who he wants, but he'll only have to complete fun tasks for his $10K. This would be especially funny if Eric didn't know there was a second America's player. If they needed to, in order to make it work, they could send back a former housemate.

Posted by: sandic at August 9, 2007 10:19 PM

Dick may be craggy around the edges but he is not a liar. Eric as much I cannot stand his behavior is being used too, BB set America up to go down the rabbit hole.

No wonder we have been dumbed down.

From HD - I edited part of your comment. No politics and war commentary please.

Posted by: blair at August 9, 2007 10:31 PM

Rodjratx - actually Jameka said Crap is Crap.. she's not the "Christian" she professes to be.. their all FAKE!!!

I can't believe the DR Producers got the HG's to vote Kail out!! If I was Kail I would throw a fit!!!!!! THat is so unfair to her!!!

I have been watching BB for the last few seasons and this one takes the cake!! I can't believe CBS thinks they can get away with this -- helping their AP BOY out! SO WRONG!!!!!!!! He's suppose to be playing for AMERICA not CBS!!!!!!!

I'm sure Jess will put up D&D with hopes of getting one or the other out -- but I guess we'll have to wait and see.. ooh boy can't wait!

Posted by: Miss D at August 9, 2007 11:07 PM

For me i'm done. My husband has been telling me all the time watching bb was a waste and now i agree. I'm getting a life!

If Dick or Dani go home I'm done watching the rest are so twofaced and boring. I can't stand Eric it sounds like he's still going through puberity. And I'm sorry but I kinda like Zach he's nice and loyal be his friend.

What is with some of you? After all we are not watching Touched by an Angel this is Big Brother 8!!! I love all the wheeling and dealing and seeing the worst of human nature and the best all at once. I missed tonight's CBS telecast had to see my grandson's program tonight instead and it was great but missed the show and was glad that HD gives us such a good way to catch up. I couldn't believe all the changes going on. Way to go Jessica!!!

Posted by: Jimmie at August 10, 2007 04:26 AM

I'm sorry that Eric wasn't sent packing. He should have been. He's supposed to be America's Player, but he isn't.

Last week we told him to get Kail evicted, but he chose to ignore those orders and CONTINUED to campaign to get Nick out instead of swaying Jessica to vote out Kail (we all know he could have done that easily). That's when I stopped being a fan of Eric's. No he doesn't have to follow all our orders, but if he doesn't, it isn't our fault that he gets in trouble.

And CBS stepping in was just wrong. I won't be canceling my feeds, but I won't miss them this week while I'm at the beach! :)

Posted by: Beth at August 10, 2007 05:45 AM

If it were Dick on the block and looking to be sent home instead of Eric, would you Eric fans be upset if BB producers intervened and coached the HG to change their votes???? Think about it...

Posted by: David at August 10, 2007 05:46 AM

I'm so disgusted with this BS that I won't be watching live feeds anymore or CBS's show. I absolutely dispise how CBS stepped in and moved the game towards Eric's favor..isn't this called cheating??? Makes me wonder if they did this with the other BB shows, and if so then we as viewers have been mislead/misguided the whole time for tv ratings. I'm not sure if that is kudos for them for being so sneaky, or kudos for us for being idiots that get suckered into their ratings scheme. I personally would like to think that we as Americans wouldn't act as our so called AP has been. I so dislike him it's not even funny, and have to ask to be forgiven for my nasty thoughts about this creep. I'm disappointed with CBS, and the NerdHeard. I didn't like how BB6 went, and certainly this appears to being along with that same path.

I was soooooo hoping Eric was leaving just because I didn't want to see his smug, freaky face or listen to his rants (which is worse than Dicks, I like Dick's better because he at least will say it to your face not behind your back).

Eric is pondscum and douche bag, I have no more to say about this CBS's poster boy. :::shakes finger::: Shame on CBS!! We didn't choose him THEY DID!! How dare they say that he is our choice, much less give him hints and a cheat guide on how to play the game for our sake! Paaalease let us speak for our own selves, I bet we could do a way better job at this if really given an opportunity to do so!

Posted by: diana at August 10, 2007 06:39 AM

Talk about playing sides. Look who Jen's hanging out with now - the LNC. She's like a camillon don't they see that. And Amber...after that blow up at Eric and Dustin saying he'd vote Eric out for her, she should be pissed at Dustin about lying to her face. That should tell her alot right there.

No doubt either D or D will go next week, it's just a matter of which one. I prefer it to be Danielle, b/c the show won't be worth watching without Dick. If Dick leaves, Danielle will spend the rest of her days in bed - crying.

As for Zack, I just don't know where he stands in this game.

I would love to see D/D "somehow" stir things up to get everyone mad at Dustin and Amber. They are the two that need to go if there's any hope in making Season8 BB survive.

Posted by: dk at August 10, 2007 07:12 AM

GOOD GOD, does anyone understand the concept of this game??? It is ALL about lying, cheating, backstapping or WHATEVER it takes to be the last one standing!!
These people with the "I hate this one because they lie", or "I can't stand this one because she is not being honest", are worse than the HG's.
Right on down to the final 2, they will lie, cheat, badmouth each other to the death if it takes them to the final.
Good God, get a life people. Pick a favorite, and stand behind them, not tear them a new butte hole for something they ALL do!!
I have 3 favorites and I wish them all well. Have they lied? Oh most certainly, or they wouldn't still be in the game..
Go Jess, Eric and Jen!!!!!
That said, I do have to add, I don't have any use for a house guest that will be so biggoted as to say the things as Amber has said regarding the jewish faith, New Yorkers in general or as with Kail, against gays. Those type of people are just ignorant, not worth the time this site and others give them.

Posted by: diff at August 10, 2007 07:34 AM

Dustin really didn't lie - he said "I voted for Eric" - he didn't say I voted to get rid of Eric, perfect play on words. He did vote for Eric, to keep him that is.

Love the shake up personally. The expression on D&D's faces - priceless!

Posted by: cirsey at August 10, 2007 07:40 AM

we still have votes...i say we make him (eric) nominate amber or dustin and then make him vote for one of them out.

Posted by: mike at August 10, 2007 07:52 AM

loved the show last night...finally! i wish i had the live feeds to hear what dick & dani were had to say after the HOH. counting on you HD!

when stupid chenbot blew the one question. i really thought it was unfare to eric. if jessica didnt win HOH i wonder if there would have been a redo?

Posted by: jude at August 10, 2007 08:06 AM

I agree that BB has not handled the AP situation well to this point. I would have preferred they put all the HG's in the house for a couple weeks, let America see them, and allow the true fans of the show watch the live feeds to learn more about each of the HG's. Once that's happened, and first impressions are a slight memory, have America vote on which HG should be the AP. Imagine ED as the AP. Imagine Jen! Love them or hate them, they would have been a more interesting choice. (Jen in particular with her "I didn't come here for the money" ways would have likely passed on some of the challenges if she truly means that)

I'd also like to give props to those who realize what BB is, A GAME. "With that said," (I feel like Dani each time I say that!) each HG is, for the most part, free to choose their style of game play (sorry, Eric, part of your game is flawed by America's influence), so how they approach it cannot really be mistaken for anything but a character reference, good or bad. And, watching a family member or friend's interview about an HG doesn't change my view of the HG they talk about simply because the HG's choice of actions in the house, whether real or contrived for the sake of game play, are all still part of what makes those people who they are. Play the game, HG's, and watch the show, fans, but accept the consequences of each HG's actions as nothing but a reflection of their character, good or bad.

One last thing, Eric did get hosed by JC with her "Nick slip" last night, so I hope he gets one more week of survival to give him a chance to fight for himself. With Jess as HOH, he's likely okay, but as we've all seen, stranger things have happened.

My compliments to the blogging chef, HD!

Posted by: Roger at August 10, 2007 09:09 AM

If it's true that America voted for Eric to persuade Jessica to put up Dustin AND Eric actually does it, I would think that would be GREAT!!!

Dick is wrong (IMO) in a lot of things he says BUT Jameka, Amber, Dustin and Eric All do the same exact thing and lie about what they do.... I would love to see Dustin and Dick nominated, then Daniele win POV and take Dick off the block!!!

Go Jess, Daniele, Jen !!!

Posted by: Laurie at August 10, 2007 09:16 AM

Okay everyone. When Dustin told Dick that he voted to keep Eric - that was right after the live vote and before the HOH competition. That is because Dustin/Amber had made a one-week deal with D&D that neither would evict the other as long as Dustin voted to evict Eric.

Once the HOH competition was revealed, during celebration phase, Dustin was right in Dick's face validating that he had never voted against Eric, by telling Dick never to tell him what to do, again (at which point, Dick told him to shut up). SO - - Dustin lied only to protect he and Amber's "one-week deal" with Dick in the event Dick won HOH. Once that no longer needed protecting, he as much as admitted what he had done.

RB - Thanks for reading and noticing!

HD's commentary to Blair - funny, funny, funny! Wonder if anyone else noticed?

Verity: re: the double-eviction, in the past they use it when the first person is sent to sequester - so that the person doesn't have to wait long before he or she has company. SO - my guess is that after one of the Donato's go home next week (which, barring any major surprises, should transpire), they'll have a second eviction ceremony.

Miss D & David - how quickly we forget. Kail told the "Diary Room Gods" how she wanted to quit, leave, walk out the door - last week. If they hadn't intervened (i.e. using logic, convinced her of the error of her judgment) she would have left the week prior. But where was all the ranting from the D&D crew about THAT intervention? I heard NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING. Can't have it both ways. Either rant about it all, or none of it.

All that happened in both instances was that someone argued the LOGICAL position in order to replace the EMOTIONAL one. Since EMOTION is the antithesis to LOGIC (and also makes for really bad TV, as watching Amber for a few weeks straight now has proven) why shouldn't CBS be able to point out the logic of it all? Keep in mind, folks - - it's a live VOTE. CBS isn't strong-arming anyone to change their minds or their vote. They are only using LOGIC and pointing out the LOGICAL consequences. They aren't saying "VOTE the way we want or we'll penalty nominate you" or using any other coercive strategies. Just LOGIC. Where is the harm in THAT?

The show tonight was good. One thing I feel that it is not rigth is that the producers trying to convince Jen, Amber and Jam to vote for Eric to stay. I heard itfrom Amber and Jam talk about wed, night and Jam last night say it. If it was another player they would not said anything just because he AP it not right for the others on getting vote out.

I did like Amber and Dustin now I do not like them. I hope Jess start to see things about her close friends. Jam was not any better than Dick last night calling Dick mom a bitc- you should not talk about ppl thats not in the house that way and if you never meet them. I know Dick is a as- at times to. You can play this game with out being a big liar.

On joker said results america voted for Dustin Eric in the hoh room pitch to put up Dustin. I did want Amber to win the money because of her child and being a single mom I know from my self it not easy now I do not want her to win. She very bad person to me. Also Dustin thinks he the king I do not like the way he plays the game.

I did not like Jen at frist now I am started liking her. I want Jen and Dani to to work together and bring down the house. My pick this week to win in order is Dani, Jen, Zach,Jess, Dick, Jam, Eric, Dustin and Amber. It may change again in a week or two After getting to know them more. lol. I really hope Jess play her cards right this week being hoh and not listen to others.

Maybe people wouldn't be so upset if BB would just quit calling themselves a "reality" show. It's like watching wrestling, - we all know it's set up, but people still watch anyways. If you don't like it, quit watching. If you still need a fix of BB to get you through, check out You Tube vids, they have BB U.K. shows. Or wait til Fall, when Survivor and Amazing Race are back on. (far better shows, IMO).

coleen -

The situation with Kail (convincing her to not drop out) is totally different than the one with Eric in which they used "their logic" to sway people to keep their money maker (a buck a pop per text msg adds up quickly to millions for the network...). If you want to be naive enough to think that the network's intention/logic is purely for the betterment of the game, that is your choice. But like most hamsters in and out of the house, it is easy to get caught up in the game which is showing how we as a people can be swayed to a cause so easily. This is the most amusing part of the whole BB show that I find so entertaining...

From HD - Yup! Saw it...LOL

I have not noticed anyone comment about it, but I assume people have figured out that Kail's husband sent the plane. The timing of it, during HOH but AFTER both Eric and Amber had been eliminated, indicates it was sent to make someone else (anyone else) a target rather than Kail (or possibly Jen - I'm assuming Kail here since her family could afford to do it). I'm not sure how these things work, but I suspect there was another banner available to unfurl (with different names) should HOH have gone differently. The reference to Nick was just to throw people off. Once it was obvious that it would be Kail vs. Eric, the plane was set to fly a second time telling the house that Eric was "America's Player" but the network threatened legal action so the pilot stayed away. This again would have been most helpful to Kail. In this week's HOH, they rest of the house discovered that Kail was a "multi-business owner" due to one of the questions. Will they be able to put the clues together from the inside? (and at this point, will it matter?) I believe that question was asked specifically to make the house realize the plane message may be a fake. (And the two questions regarding Nick's womanizing comments early on were meant to undermine his credibility, which would also make Eric look better and keep him in the game longer. I can't believe at the beginning of HOH it was stated that these questions would have no bearing on the outcome of the game.)

After Jess won HOH, Dick's reaction was classic Dick.

He really does have anger management issues. When he is upset about something he lashes out and spews venom, he doesnt even allow himself to process his anger, he just lashes out without any thought of consequences.

It was embarrassing that he lashed out at Jameka, for what??

Jen is the absolute best at making the ED wrath look absolutely ridiculous and mean.

BUT, for my own selfish reasons (that being good TV drama) I dont want to see ED go home this week.
And I doubt CDS would want him to either for the same reasons.

Daniele is another story, She brings nothing to the table, shes weak and she whines and she never smiles.

And why is she soooooo "depressed" about Nick being gone? I thought he was just "a friend".

I see some comments about it in the newest comment but I figure it is more inline with this original post so will put it here.

The whole diary room issue. Personally I am okay with it because of the banner during the H.O.H. round. Definitely some are more gulliable then others and will bite into the psychology of it all. That is just the nature of some people.

I look at it as a bit of damage control on their part since an outside force really had a huge impact on the game that they are supposed to be protecting the players from. Without the banner I believe it is likely Dustin would have been the one in Eric's place on the nomination block. Leaving the really big question if America would continue its wanting to remove Kail or simply starting the turning on Eric a wee bit earlier by voting to evict Dustin because it is unlikely to be as entertaining with the LNC in total power which the game is moving towards like the end of Season 6.

Eric at this point needs to realize from here on out America Choice isn't going to be going into his favor at all and just give up and forget about the bonus money. Before I think it would have been a mix of in and out of his favor depending on how much power the LNC and now this whole diary room controversy I think pretty much secures that all voting from here on out while Eric is in the game won't be what he wants. I imagine CBS realizes this too and the midweek tasks are going to be just as stupid as the catchphrase one. At least Eric's playing off America's votes in the diary room can be interesting with his alliance of ten million having turned their backs on him.

David -

Thanks for your response. For starters - its naive to think that if Eric gets voted off, CBS won't continue the "America's Choice" questions. Only we'll have lame choices like we did last year. Should the house guests get a pet rabbit or a pet snake? Either way, they're gonna run the text calls.

YOU might think it fun to watch people be swayed so easily. I, however, enjoy the strategy. Actual strategy. Logic - - not emotion - - dictating decisions. Any clue why there are so many chess sets in the house? Too bad most of the guests this season don't play. It parallels their ability to strategize.

ALL CBS is using is logic - - and you can't distinguish the logic it used to keep Kail from the logic used to help keep Eric. If Kail would've quit, it would've made for bad TV. It would have meant one person dictated the outcome for that week, instead of a house.

Again - CBS isn't coercing them to change their vote. They are using logic. Reason. I'm sick of all the crying and whining and emotional power plays. Bring in some logic, PLEASE.

Like how Zach, Jen and D&D have figured out that one of them has to make it into the final two for the LNC-5 to have deciding vote on the final two. THAT'S strategy and reason.

What's the beef all about? Because we don't get to "see" the diary room persuasion? There's LOTS we don't get to see. How many cameras are there - - and we usually only get two views, if that. One during After Dark. So what that CBS is "influencing" them. Without CBS they wouldn't even be there. They "influenced" every single houseguest to participate this season. It's their show. They get to make the rules. They get to talk to the participants. They get to run the show.

I see alot of your points, I would like to make one comment that I have noticed on BB shows and sometimes Survivour.

I was watching one of the videos and hear Eric make a comment about the "EP's" will be happy since the person casted was still in the show.

I hate that reality tv shows use people in the entertainment industry, would anyone of us really even know an abbreviation like that.

Why is it always, writers, aspiring actresses, actors...hollywood types blah blah blah.

I do not believe for one second that there is not enough people not attached to the LA scene that could be put on these shows, it is crap like this that makes people speculate.

Funniest thing to hear how dick and danielle think they still have game....unbelievable...dick std. the house doesn't know what is coming.. but everyone knows dick will explode.. it is the one constant in the house... last thought .. danielle doesn't like any of the othe house guests... who appointed her queen.. what does it matter.. she is the most unlikeable character.. not talking to her dad for 5 years or whatever.. some of us wish we still had a dad to be mad at...
